Postive Thoughts Challenge

Today we begin our Positive Thoughts Challenge. Our Challenge for today is to smile at everyone you see. That means everyone. You may be thinking how would that make a difference.
The answer is that not only does it make you feel better, it will make the other person feel better.
Have you ever considered that your smile may be the only time all day someone has acknowledged that person. It may be someone going thrrough a difficult time and your smile may be the bright spot in their day. Reach out, change your thinking and you will change your life and many times the lives of those around you and those you may never see again. GOD BLESS and have a great day. Don't forget to smile!

Positive Thought Challenge

Hello everyone and a belated Happy New Year. With the New Year comes resolutions that in the beginning we feel determined to keep. We all know that keeping a resolution is most times harder than making the resolution. And once we break the resolution we feel like we failed. So we would like to suggest a new approach. Instead of wasting time and energy feeling like a failure  lets move on to something different.
If you noticed the title of this blog then hopefully you are up for the challenge. The challenge can and will change your life if you decide to accept. The challenge for the year 2012 is to change THE NEGATIVE INTO THE POSITIVE. One thought at a time. One minute, one hour, one morning, one afternoon will quickly turn into one day. And from there you are off and running. We are going to post one positive thought each weekday and challenge everyone to use that thought to change your day and by the end of the year change your life into a life of POSITIVE THINKING. Not only will you change your life but it will change the lives of those around you.
The challenge today is to simply take our challenge. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose.
We would love your input on making positive changes. If you have a POSITIVE  change you have made and would like to share, we would love to pass it on to others.  You can check out our Facebook page at Contact Lubbock and give us your comments or comment here.

"Pearl in the Sand"

If you are looking for a good book to read over the summer check out "Pearl in the Sand" by Tessa Afshar.  This is one of the best books I have ever read.  It's the captivating story of Rahab from the book of Joshua in the bible. The story begins in Joshua 2 and ends in Joshua 6. While I have always been familiar with the story of Rahab I never thought about the rest of her story. Tessa brings to life Rahab, her family, and the 2 Jewish spies that Rahab hid while they were in Jericho. Tessa takes you through the beautiful love story of Salmone and Rahab. The story is thought provoking, emotional and I promise you won't want to put the down.

Once you have read the book we would love to get your feedback!
